Reuben Logan has ascended from a minor internet star to a name that’s causing ripples in the world. The youngster gained online notoriety last year for being compared to , Daniel.
However, Reuben actually towers above Barlow Jnr by three inches at 6ft 5in and tips the scales at 18st 1lb. While his stature caught attention, it’s his prowess on the international rugby stage that’s truly making waves.
Son of the newly appointed host and esteemed sports presenter , and Scottish rugby icon Kenny Logan, the young talent recently made headlines with his decision to play for Scotland in the U20s Six Nations, having previously donned the England jersey.

His choice to embrace his Scottish roots has evidently filled his father with pride. “Yeah, he’s pretty happy, I think,” the 19-year-old Northampton Saints star said.
“I think he pretended when I was with England that he was happy with it, but he really wasn’t, and he’s made that very clear now. He struggled with it, and I think he’s [now] very, very happy. He’s excited.”
Regarding his mother’s reaction, he added: “I think she was just as emotional as my dad, because, obviously, she’s seen my dad wear that shirt. I sent her the media photos and she got quite emotional seeing them, because my dad used to wear the same thistle.”
Reuben’s skills with the pill were apparent from his youth, with the starlet, who has a twin sister named Lois, representing Wasps at junior levels before securing a professional deal with Saints for the 2023-24 season. His mixed heritage, however, posed challenges for his international career aspirations, reports .

His mother Gabby, born in Yorkshire while her father, Welsh football legend Terry Yorath, played for Leeds United, chose to compete for Wales in rhythmic gymnastics. Reuben’s father Kenny brought Scottish roots into the mix, and although Reuben was born in England, his national allegiance has fluctuated.
He initially trained with Scotland’s under-17s, then represented England at an under-18s Six Nations Festival and joined the England U-20 squad, only to switch sides again. Despite any internal family conflicts during his time with England, upon signing his first professional contract, his father told Planet Rugby: “I just want Reuben to enjoy his journey. He’s got a great opportunity at a fantastic club, and rugby is a wonderful sport to be part of.”
Yet, signs of Reuben’s potential shift in national loyalty emerged when he was seen last year at the Euros, wearing a Scotland football kit alongside his father Kenny as they supported the Tartan Army against Hungary in Stuttgart.
“We’d got the top, and I was like, ‘wouldn’t it be fun if I was on the telly?’ I wonder if I’d get any flak for that,” Reuben said. “And then at half-time, I looked at my phone and it was going ‘ping, ping, ping, ping, ping’ and that was just quite funny.”

However, Reuben’s journey in the U20 tournament so far has been less than stellar. His Scottish side are still chasing their first victory after a heavy defeat by Reuben’s ex-teammates from England with a scoreline of 57-13 last week.
Next, they face Wales, another nation Reuben is connected to, with the match set to kick off on Friday, March 7 at 7.15pm.
