fans are speculating that a beloved character might return to confront John Sugden.
John, played by Oliver Farnworth, made his first appearance last year as the alleged long-lost son of Jack Sugden (Clive Hornby), quickly making an impact on the locals.
Since then, John has established himself in the village, kindling a relationship with Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and reconnecting with his distant relatives, including his sister Victoria (Isabel Hodgins). However, the plot took a dramatic twist when Aaron assaulted abuser Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day), spurred by memories of his own childhood abuse.
After leaving Anthony for dead, Aaron confessed his actions to John, who vowed to help dispose of Anthony’s body. It was later revealed that Anthony’s daughter Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) was the actual killer, with several other villagers, including Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) and Cain (Jeff Hordley), now implicated in the murder cover-up.
Yet, John has kept the location of Anthony’s body a secret, fearing exposure if he reveals it.

Furthermore, amidst the Anthony Fox saga, viewers have started questioning John’s true character, suspecting him of being a covert serial killer after the shocking discovery of Nate Robinson’s (Jurell Carter) corpse in a frozen lake.
Some fans have expressed concern over John’s relationship with Aaron on the popular ITV soap, accusing him of being “controlling” and even gaslighting. A conversation is stirring among viewers who anticipate John’s imminent downfall, suspecting that a familiar face might be the one to reveal his true nature, reports Leeds Live.
On an fan page, doubts about John were voiced as someone commented: “I still don’t trust John, there’s just something about him. I feel he’s the type of person that will hold the Anthony murder secret against the Dingles.”
