Presenter joked that his reputation was in jeopardy after he shared his input for one question on . The host of the ITV quiz show quite often lets contestants know his thoughts on their answers as he welcomes them to take on a Chaser.
On this evening’s episode (February 27) the 64-year-old let a controversial topic of expertise slip as he shared some knowledge about beer. He had welcomed four players – Trevor, Gail, Harry and Maddy – to the show when he could not help but share some insight.
Harry was asked about beers – something which Brad proved to be very knowledgeable about. The question which came up was: “Which beer company was founded in Bremen, Germany in 1873?”
The optional answers were Amstel, Beck’s or Carlsberg. As Harry locked in his answer as Beck’s, Brad said: “Beck’s… I mean, I’m not being funny but that is the only German beer there.”
He then laughed as he added: “Ok, if this is wrong, then what have I been doing in my life?” The host then revealed that it was, in fact, the correct answer with a gasp of: “Phew!”

Jenny Ryan, the Chaser, joked: “I was getting worried then. All those hours reading spent reading beer labels.” Bradley joked as he replied: “Yeah! My reputation in tatters.”
It comes as one of Brad’s co-stars said that the quiz show “would not survive” without him at the helm.
Chaser Paul Sinha recently told Stuff: “Perhaps most importantly of all, we never forget that it is an entertainment show and to that end we are blessed with Bradley Walsh, one of the brightest stars of the light entertainment firmament.
“I think there are some shows that can’t survive without that particular host,” he said added. “Should Bradley Walsh, as he will do eventually, decide that his acting career comes first, The Chase won’t survive.”
A former player also revealed what Bradley is really like off-screen, saying that meeting him is a “novel experience”.
He shared: “He [Bradley] was just as nice in real life. What surprised me is that he swore a bit, and they just edited that out. The joking around is pretty much nonstop, and it’s a chill atmosphere.”
