Ram’s all-electric ProMaster EV starts at $76,995 in Canada

The battery-powered commercial vehicle comes as a step van or cargo van, with an estimated 263 km of range

  • Ram’s all-new ProMaster EV will start at $76,995 in Canada
  • Customers can order now, with delivery starting in the second quarter of 2025
  • It’ll be available as a step van or as a cargo van in two lengths

The ProMaster EV shares the gasoline-powered ProMaster’s architecture; and like the gas model, is front-wheel-drive. The standard 110-kWh battery is located under the floor, and so doesn’t affect cargo capacity, which remains the same as the gas version. The ProMaster is intended as a work vehicle or as a “last-mile” delivery van—meaning that while long-haul trucks generally look after getting goods from their point of manufacture or port of entry to a warehouse, last-mile vehicles get it from there to the customer, which could be a retail store or even directly to the consumer.

It will come as a step-van or in two cargo-van configurations, both with 159-inch wheelbases but with 12- or 13-foot cargo lengths, and both in high-roof configuration. Its 200-kW electric drive module sends 268 horsepower and 302 lb-ft of torque to those front tires.

Payload for the step van is a maximum of 1,304 kg (2,876 lbs) before upfit and options, while the cargo van is rated for up to 1,369 kg (3,020 lbs).
