The worlds of soap opera and reality TV are set to collide in a very special event later this year.

Stars from and possibly Love Island will join forces to raise money and awareness of Motor Neurone Disease.

On Saturday, April 12th, The Mel Evans MBE Foundation is hosting The Masked Entertainer Gala Dinner at Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham.

The evening of fun, entertainment and intrigue is a playful tribute to ITV’s The Masked Singer, and it’s not short of celebrity names either.

So far actors Peter Ash and Daniel Brocklebank have been confirmed as part of the judging panel.

Ex-England cricketer and King of the I’m A Celebrity jungle, Phil Tufnell, will also be in attendance on the night – but who could possibly be behind some of the masks?

Love Island legend Marcel Somerville has shared a video online teasing that he could be one of the surprise performers at the event, while Andy Whyment, who plays the loveable Kirk Sutherland in , has also hinted he may be donning a costume.

Speaking about the upcoming event, a spokesperson for The Mel Evans MBE Foundation said: “We have a strong track record of organising unforgettable events, and this will be no exception.

“As a small yet passionate charity, we are entirely run by volunteers who have all lost loved ones to Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

“Our mission is simple but vital: to raise essential funds for research in the hope that one day, we will have effective treatments and a cure for this currently 100% fatal disease.”
