BBC Weather has forecast eight days of sunshine and double-digit temperatures, as the UK gears up to transition into spring.
After a seemingly endless period of , parts of the UK could be in for a refreshingly settled week, the has suggested.
The broadcaster has predicted a consistently mild and sunny eight-day period across late February and early March for southeastern regions.
Temperatures around are expected to hit10C on Thursday, February 27, before remaining steady and rising to 13C by March 6.
England has replaced a turbulent and disruptive start to the year with sunny and dry spells in recent days, and this trend is set to continue over the next week, despite light winds picking up pace at the beginning of next month.

Gentle drizzle could set back in from March 7, Weather suggested, but temperatures are expected to remain above the seasonal average, hovering at around 11C.
The forecaster said rain showers could hit south easterly regions on Wednesday, February 26, but will become “widely dry before dawn”, ushering in what could be a sunny, dry and mild taste of warmer weather to come.
Lengthy bright spells could characterise Thursday’s weather in the south east, while Friday to Sunday could usher in “wintry sunshine with some cloud”, Weather reported.
Other parts of the UK could experience scattered rainfall later this week, according to the ’s predictions, but a rise in the mercury will ensure “pleasant feeling” sunshine across most of the country.

The beginning of March could usher in a split in weather patterns across the country, the national weather service reported, with northwestern areas experiencing disruption from Atlantic weather systems.
Moving westward from March 2 onwards, the systems could bring wet and windy weather to some regions.
Meanwhile, high pressure in southern England could bring “a good deal of fine and dry weather” over the weekend and next week.
It comes after the issued amber weather warnings for heavy rain in the southwest and Wales last weekend, warning of a danger to life caused by accumulating floodwater.
