Zoë Kravitz is getting candid about her breakup with Channing Tatum.
The two called off their engagement a few months after their film “Blink Twice” hit theaters. Kravitz, who made her directorial debut with the drama, tells Elle she still has a lot of love for her ex and said their breakup doesn’t affect how she feels about the movie.
“Not at all,” she said.
“I love this thing that we made together, and I care for him very much. Even when you bring up how great his performance is, it warms my heart to hear that, and I’m so happy that all of it happened,” she continued. “I just feel so grateful that we got to go on that journey together.”
Kravitz then talked about Tatum’s growth as an actor and said she’s really happy with how far he’s come.
“He has so much more coming, and I think he’s in a place as an actor where he’s feeling really confident and people are seeing different sides of him,” she said. “He’s got a lot to offer, so I’m excited for people to keep witnessing that.”
Tatum and Kravitz first connected when the “Divergent” star reached out to Tatum to star in “Blink Twice.” By 2021, they sparked romance rumors when they were photographed on multiple outings together.
In a 2022 interview with GQ, Kravitz said she and Tatum wanted to keep their relationship out of the spotlight.
“You want to keep it sacred and private as long as you can,” she said. “So that you don’t have to even think about what the world thinks about it.”
