Netflix viewers are hooked on what’s being hailed as the ‘most intense’ thriller.
The film, Unforgettable, first hit cinemas in 2017 and has recently been added to ‘s vast catalogue.
Despite its recent addition, it has quickly climbed the ranks to become one of the most-watched films among UK subscribers, only recently losing the top spot to the animated sensation, The Super Mario Bros Movie.
The film stars Katherine Heigl and Rosario Dawson, with Heigl portraying Tessa Connover, a woman struggling to cope with her divorce when her ex-husband, David, becomes engaged to Julia Banks (played by Dawson).
As David introduces Julia into their former shared home and their daughter Lilly’s life, Julia attempts to adjust to her new role as a wife and stepmother. She believes she’s found her dream man who can help her move past her troubled history.

However, Tessa’s jealousy spirals out of control, leading her to stop at nothing to transform Julia’s dream into her worst nightmare.
The twisted revenge drama, Unforgettable, has been stirring up some serious buzz and drawing parallels to Beyoncé’s 2009 thriller, Obsessed, reports .
Social media reactions are split, with one fan declaring online, “It’s better than the one with Beyoncé.. Look it won’t win any Oscars but it’s a popcorn, stay at home with your significant other or friends.”
Meanwhile, another admirer gushed over the film, stating, “Unforgettable is a very well crafted edge of your seat, riveting thriller along the lines of Psycho, but with modern internet deception and female perspective. Excellent acting, editing, and sound track.”

While opinion is divided, there’s no lack of accolades from a certain quarter, as one viewer expressed, “Fun with a smart message, it’s a dark, sexy and thrilling study of how social pressures can make someone crack and spiral out of control.
“I was able to empathise with the characters because the villain’s motives were relatable and the hero had a chequered past. The ending gave me chills.”
Critics remain on the fence, with one analyst characterizing the flick as, “An entertaining exercise in over-the-top camp that’s played with a straight sincerity that makes it deliciously satisfying.”
Conversely, another critic wasn’t so enchanted, lamenting, “There’s not an original thought in Unforgettable, but there is one crazy performance by Katherine Heigl and succession of absurd moments played with straight face.”
However, judging by its performances on ‘s charts, it seems that it is a hit with subscribers.
