Luke Littler has revealed who he considers the top four darts players ever.

The current PDC World Darts Championship holder and teenage star appeared on darts referee Huw Ware’s podcast Top and Tales.

The 18-year-old, nicknamed ‘The Nuke’, is currently ranked number two in the world by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and has won three other major titles: the Premier League, the Grand Slam and the World Series Finals.

When asked to name his ‘Mount Rushmore’ of darts players, Littler said: “As a fan, obviously, Phil Taylor is at the top. Michael van Gerwen is two.”

Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor dominated the game for 30 years and is widely considered the best player of all time, having won 214 professional tournaments, including a record 85 major titles and a record 16 World Championships.

Michael van Gerwen is currently ranked world number three; he was number one from 2014 to 2021. He is a three-time PDC World Champion and has won forty-seven PDC majors, second in the all-time list behind Phil Taylor.

Littler named Raymond van Barneveld as his third favourite player, and Adrian Lewis as his fourth, to complete his Mount Rushmore.

Raymond ‘Barney’ van Barneveld is currently ranked world number thirty-four, having been the world number one in 2008. He is a five-time World Champion and had a significant effect in raising the popularity of darts in the Netherlands.
