Janet Street-Porter had a heated exchange with co-star Denise Welch during the latest episode of ITV’s daytime show Loose Women.
The panel, which included host Ruth Langsford, Janet, Denise and Coleen Nolan, were discussing current news topics.
In a debate about emigration, Janet labelled Denise “selfish” after the former actress expressed her views. Janet retorted: “That’s so selfish.”
When Denise queried why, Janet responded: “If you don’t like the country you are in, do something about it yourself”, to which Denise replied: “I’m trying to.” Janet then suggested: “Then go to another like Dubai..”
Denise interjected, stating: “You pay no tax and it’s safe. In this country we respect the country’s human rights more than the victim’s human rights.”, reports the Mirror.

Later in the programme, Ruth made an urgent appeal to viewers while sharing a health update.
As they discussed potential hidden skin health issues, Ruth said: “We will be talking about skin today.”
She asked: “Are you taking care of it? Any change of your condition on your skin could be an indication that there is something else going on in your body.”

She added: “Dermatologists are warning we are all guilty of not taking enough time to really look at our skin and therefore look after ourselves.”
Ruth Langsford shared her own health concerns on the show, revealing she had a recent scare with her moles but assured viewers “it is nothing to worry about.”
She reflected on her past attitudes towards health, saying: “When I was younger, you kind of ignored things and you never thought about it. But definitely as I’ve gotten older – I’ve been twice this week – I go twice a year to get my moles checked.”

Ruth recalled her childhood exposure to the sun, noting: “When we were young, we didn’t know the dangers of sunbathing and my dad’s in the army so we were abroad a lot running around in the sun. I remember sunscreen being around but not smothering it on.”
She then pointed out a recent procedure on her skin, stating: “I’ve just had a little thing done here this week but it’s nothing to worry about because it’s been checked.”
Her co-star Coleen Nolan chimed in with a light-hearted comment about Ruth’s earlier appearance: “Didn’t you go green earlier” which prompted Ruth to respond: “I did go green but it’s gone now. I don’t know what that was, maybe because it was early morning.”
