Get Millie Black is coming to Channel 4 and the detective drama stars Tamara Lawrance in the title role. The gripping series follows ex-Scotland Yard detective Millie Black who returns to Jamaica, where a missing persons case threatens to turn her world upside down.
The series was written by Marlon James and it originally aired on HBO in the US. After Millie-Jean Black is forced out of Scotland Yard, she returns home to join the Jamaican Police Force.
She and her partner Curtis investigate missing person cases, but their lives are torn apart when one of their investigations crosses paths with another that brought Scotland Yard detective Luke Holborn to Kingston.
Filming for the series took place in Jamaica for about three months before moving to London. Here is all you need to know about the series.

When is Get Millie Black out?
Get Millie Black will air its first episode on Channel 4 on Wednesday, March 5 at 9pm.
The episodes are an hour long and the first two episodes will air on consecutive days, with episode two airing on Thursday, March 6.
Who is in the cast of Get Millie Black?
Tamara Lawrance stars as Millie-Jean Black, she is a British actress known for her roles in King Charles III, Time and Mr Loverman.
Joe Dempsie plays Luke Holborn and he is an English actor known for his roles in Skins and Game of Thrones.
Gershwyn Eustache Jnr stars as Curtis and he is a London-born actor and producer known for Britannia and Fortitude.
Chyna McQueen plays Hibiscus and she is a transgender actress and model based in New York.
Nestor Aaron Absera plays Corsica and the actor is known for Bob Marley: One Love and Rushlights.
Peter John Thwaites stars as Freddie Somerville and his only known credit is for Get Millie Black.

The series is made up of five episodes and they have all been given unique titles.
All of the titles are named after characters in the series, and they are as follows:
Episode 1 – Millie
Episode 2 – Hibiscus
Episode 3 – Holborn
Episode 4 – Janet
Episode 5 – Curtis
Rotten Tomatoes holds an approval rating of 100 per cent for the series, based on 13 reviews. It marked Marlon James’ first ever TV project.
He said of the project: “My mother was one of the first policewomen in Jamaica to make detective. Storytelling has always struck me first and foremost as a mystery to be solved—which I’m sure I got from her.
“Millie, from the second she appeared in my imagination was a brilliant, mercurial, hilarious, unpredictable force of nature; someone who was always there, just waiting for her story to be told. I didn’t create her, I found her,” he told Deadline.
