are obsessed with a new discount shrub that costs only £2 and will bring butterflies, bees, and birds to your garden.
Buddleja shrub is just £2 at Poundland, as gardener Sophie Valentine (also known as @lookinsidemygarden on ) told her followers.
“There are so many people wanting to give a go but the biggest thing holding them back is lack of funds,” she said.
While you can grow from seed to save money, shrubs can help add “structure and interest” to your .

Buddleja grows 2.5-4m high and has a 4-8m spread, which attracts bees, birds, butterflies, and other pollinators. It is also a caterpillar food plant, provides shelter and habitat, and has nectar-rich flowers.
The purple-flowering plant should be grown in well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Semi-ripe cuttings can be propagated in summer, while hardwood cuttings should be in autumn.
If the buddlejas are planted in fertile soil, no feeding is required, and an annual mulch of organic matter like manure or compost will work. For container-grown plants, you should add slow-release fertiliser annually.
Those who don’t live near a Poundland store can buy the plants online or from garden centres. Crocus sells Buddleja davidii for £21.59, while RHS Plants sells the same plant for £19.99.
In another video, Valentine also suggested that gardeners on a budget should head to their local Home Bargains to pick up some deals. She bought garden pots for £2.99, a wipe-clean garden rug for decking for £9.99, and 100-litre water butts for £20.
She said, “I have SO many things from @homebargains in my garden, and guess what? It’s all creeping back into stores now, and it’s so exciting! So many people are gardening on a really small budget, and this makes it so much more affordable for many.”
However, Sophie warned that last year, “lots of things sold out early”, so they advised followers to snap up the deals now and not wait until the weather gets warmer.
