Argos shoppers in last-minute rush to buy PS5 Pro bundle at lowest ever price

The may have only launched a few months ago, but that hasn’t stopped retailers such as from giving the console a hefty discount or two.

Argos is currently selling the PS5 Pro with a selected console stand for its lowest price yet, discounting the bundle to just £659.99. 

It appears to be part of the retailer’s Big Red Event, which has seen hundreds of items receive discounts for a limited time.

According to the Argos website, the PS5 Pro is “in-demand” and “selling fast”, so you might need to hurry if you want to take advantage of the deal.

The PS5 Pro offers upgraded performance, as well as improved visuals, including superior ray-tracing technology and a 2TB SSD drive.

The PS5 Pro console comes with Sony’s excellent DualSense controller, as well as a copy of Astro’s Playroom built-in to the device.

Argos customers can add a free console stand to the deal, choosing from either the Stealth Horizontal USB Console Stand, or the iMP Compact LED Console Stand.

The Stealth Horizontal USB Console Stand comes with four built-in USB ports, which means you can charge multiple controllers and plug in other accesories while using the PS5 Pro.

The iMP Console Stand, on the other hand, comes features LED lighting with six colour modes and a pulsing rainbow effect. This is said to create “a subtle ambient light to enhance your console”.

While the improvements to visuals and performance are the headline features, it’s worth remembering that the PS5 Pro also comes with a 2TB solid-state drive, which is twice the storage of the original PS5 at launch. 

With games like Call of Duty potentially taking up a few hundred gigabytes of storage space, the bigger SSD is arguably worth the price alone. 

Of course, it’s the improved specs that really makes the PS5 Pro worth purchasing, especially if you’re sick of choosing between graphics and performance.
