All Creatures Great and Small star says ‘more to come’ in exciting season 6 update

The beloved cast of All Creatures Great and Small are back to their veterinary ways and gearing up for the production of the eagerly awaited sixth series, which has already been given the green light.

As filming commenced, a buzz surrounded Samuel West, who is best known for his character Siegfried Farnon on the Channel 5 adaptation of the drama, after he took to the social media platform X – formerly Twitter – to share an annoucement.

The actor delighted fans with an warm post, staring the snapshot of a clapperboard signalled that shooting for the new episodes was in full swing and starting today, February 24.

In a touching update, Samuel wrote: “Thanks for your kind comments about #AllCreaturesGreatAndSmall Season Five. Never long enough… Sad that it’s over, but we hope this will raise spirits; we started filming Season Six today,” cryptically leaving his followers on tenterhooks, hinting further with “More news later.”

But it wasn’t just Samuel stirring up anticipation, the show’s official Twitter page echoed the sentiment, posting the identical clapperboard image along with a statement filled with fanfare: “Attention #ACGAS fans. Exciting news the cast and crew have officially kicked off filming for Season 6 in beautiful Yorkshire today! We can’t wait to return to Darrowby with all of you soon.”

Moments after these announcements, the comments section was brimming with praise. One individual commented: “Brilliant news,” while another keen viewer exclaimed: “Great! Can’t wait to see the new seasons in a few months,” reports .
