Wynne Evans BBC investigation put on hold as Strictly Come Dancing star struggles

The BBC investigation into has reportedly been delayed as the Welsh tenor is struggling mentally after accusations of innappropriate behaviour were made against him.

The 53-year-old was earlier this month said to be if necessary to contest his dismissal from the live tour and his last month.

He was previously forced to apologise for making an during the tour launch at the start of January.

However a planned meeting with the to discuss his future has seemingly been put on hold as the dad of two currently isn’t well enough to take part.

“Wynne was due to meet the last week to talk about the concerns raised against him and how, if they could, move forward. Wynne was ready to fight but in recent weeks he has been struggling mentally,” a source told .

“The stress of what has happened to his reputation has been weighing heavily on his mind.

“The decision has been made to postpone the meeting by a couple of weeks to allow Wynne time to get his head straight,” they said.

Wynne’s troubles began in January, when The Mail On Sunday reported that Evans was heard making a sexual remark to in a video filmed during the tour launch. It is understood that he was subsequently given a warning by tour producers.

The Go Compare advert star has previously said he was “deeply sorry for the pain my inappropriate actions have caused”.

In an official statement he said: “I’ve agreed with the that I’ll take some time out from my radio show and the Strictly Live tour, as well as my other public commitments, to prioritise my wellbeing.

“I am deeply sorry for the pain my inappropriate actions have caused, and plan to take this time for self-reflection.

“Apologies to those I won’t get to see at the remaining performances and I’m grateful to my fellow tour gang for all the amazing support they have given me.”
