A German woman has gone for her unusual yet ‘genius’ way to hang a fitted sheet to dry.

While fitted sheets often makes changing the bed sheets a lot easier, knowing how to wash them and fold them is something that’s harder than people first think.

Hanging your sheets to dry can also be a frustrating task, as they usually take up a lot of space on your hanger. While some might choose to hang the sheets over doors or stairwells, some might prefer to hang their washing in a more secluded area of your house.

Now, a German woman has gone viral on social media for her simple, yet effective for hanging a fitted sheet to dry, and people are calling her a genius.

In a video that has racked up over 9.5 million views in just a day on , a German woman known online under the username ‘2.elmo.4.u’ has shared how she uses her winged drying rack in an unusual way to dry her fitted sheet.

In the video, the woman is showing how she hung her fitted sheet under her rack, so it’s hanging more freely and has a better chance of drying more quickly.

The fitted corners are secured around the ‘wings’ of the rack, making it the perfect width to stretch the single-sized sheet for optimal drying. It also allows you to still use the bars to hang the rest of your washing.

People quickly took to the comments to explain the thoughts, with many claiming that despite not understanding what she’d said, she was a genius.

“You spoke the language of the truth because I understood everything,” one person commented, while another user said: “I don’t understand a word and understand everything at the same time.”

“What would happen if we used 100% of our brain?” another person commented, to which another jokingly replied: “This.”

However, other people said this hack, while genius, would not work to them, as they had cats who would take the opportunity to use the sheet as a hammock.
