launched an unlikely second-half comeback to salvage a 2-2 draw against David Moyes’ resurgent Everton on Saturday afternoon. Beto and Abdoulaye Doucoure fired the hosts into a comfortable lead before half-time, profiting from another turgid United display.

However, the Red Devils marked their final visit to Goodison Park with goals from and Manuel Ugarte to avoid a ninth defeat in 13 Premier League games.

Express Sport runs through the United player ratings from an entertaining affair on Merseyside.

Man Utd player ratings vs Everton

Andre Onana: 4

Parried the initial shot and then failed to collect the loose ball in the air before Doucoure headed Everton’s second goal past him.

Noussair Mazraoui: 6

Survived an early injury scare. The best of United’s starting back three by a distance. Won five of his six aerial duels, made eight clearances and won five tackles before his 70th-minute withdrawal.

Harry Maguire: 2

Doucoure wanted the ball more inside the visitors’ six-yard box as Maguire watched his goal from below. Is there anything more inexcusable for a centre-back?

: 2

Didn’t look comfortable on the left side of the defence whatsoever. Directed a pass to Andre Onana off the pitch in the second half despite being under no pressure. Summed it up.

Diogo Dalot: 3

Continues to offer very little at right-wing-back. Amorim will be desperate to reunite with Geovany Quenda in the summer.

Casemiro: 5

Back-to-back starts. Won six of his seven ground duels but, expectedly, struggled to keep up with the flow of the game.

Manuel Ugarte: 6

Seldom looked convincing as Everton comfortably won the midfield battle for most of the game but produced a sweet strike to equalise late on.

Patrick Dorgu: 8

Comfortably United’s best player. He’s made such an impressive start to life in England. Should it be a surprise that the only player signed by looks most at home in this testing 3-4-3 system?

Joshua Zirkzee: 3

Not nearly as effective as his showing in attacking midfield against last weekend.

: 7

United instantly improved when he dropped into midfield and got more involved. Sparked the comeback with a superb free-kick.

: 2

Only touched the ball 12 times before Chido Obi replaced him. Amorim’s No. 9 hasn’t scored in 15 games.

Substitutes

Alejandro Garnacho: 7.5

Hugely effective from the bench. Helped changed the game. Could form a real partnership with Dorgu.

Leny Yoro: 6

Did fine at the foundation of United’s attacking comeback.

Chido Obi: 5

Didn’t look out of place. Another half-hour under his belt.
