Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan pays emotional birthday tribute to late sister Linda

admitted “life will never be the same” as she remembered on her birthday.

The Irish singer, following a lengthy battle with cancer, would have turned 66 today (February 23). Taking to , Coleen shared a heartbreaking tribute as she marked her sister’s heavenly birthday.

The star, 59, shared a heartwarming video of herself and Linda dancing and laughing together at a party.

At the end of the emotional clip, which featured a sad piece of music playing throughout, Linda grabs Coleen’s hands and puts it on her head, making her pull off her wig.

Linda, who always remained in high spirits despite her gruelling fight with the disease, pulled a shocked face before they both burst into laughter as the music faded.

In the caption, Coleen wrote: “To my beautiful sister… think of you everyday , but especially today on your birthday… I miss you so much and life won’t be the same without you in it…”

The presenter’s followers flooded the comments with emotional messages as one wrote: “This is a lovely video and tribute to your sister,” as another penned: “What a lovely video and precious memories.”

“Ohhhhh Col this is so precious,” added a third. “Happy Birthday Darling Linda.”

“Happy heavenly birthday Linda,” penned another social media user.

Linda was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 but successfully fought the disease and was lter declared cancer-free. In 2017, Linda was diagnosed with secondary cancer in her hip, which spread to her liver in 2020. Three years later, the cancer spread to her brain.

. Linda’s funeral, , was attended by those closest to her and hundreds of fans.

Last week, Coleen hit back after she was trolled for smiling when she attended her sister’s funeral.

“I got out of the funeral car smiling because there were about 2,000 people looking and smiling,” she said. “And I’m getting slated on social media… ‘What’s she smiling about?’

“I’m like… I don’t know what you want me to do! It bothered me at first and I thought, I’ve got to stop caring what people… we all deal with it differently.”

Coleen explained that it was the huge turn out that made her smile, adding: “When we turned the corner there was all these people there and it made us cry because Linda would have loved it! I was so glad they turned out for her. So it was a gratitude thing.”
