Perrie Edwards shot to fame as part of the girl band Little Mix on The X Factor, but has since embarked on a successful solo music career and established her own fashion brand. After deciding to part ways with bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirwall, she released her first solo material last year.
The 31 year old singer, set to appear on ‘s Michael McIntyre’s Big Show on Saturday, 23 February, has also had her personal life under the spotlight due to her relationship with professional footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Alex, also aged 31, formerly played for Liverpool FC but now represents Turkish club Besiktas Jimnastik Kulubu (BJK) in Istanbul. He joined the club in August 2023 and began dividing his time between the UK and Turkey, adding complexity to his romance with Perrie.

Perrie has been candid about the challenges of maintaining a long-distance relationship, confessing that it can be hard to find quality time together as she and Alex shuttle between Turkey and Cheshire, where their family home is located. However, she also disclosed that despite being together for over eight years, she and Alex, parents to three year old son Axel, have never cohabited.
Last year on The Jonathan Ross Show, the pop sensation opened up about her personal life, saying: “I can’t lie, it is hard. When he was playing for Liverpool and based in Manchester, it was so easy to do the back and forth, but Turkey is a little bit further and he doesn’t get a lot of time off.”
She continued, revealing the challenges of balancing her career with motherhood: “I’m trying to launch a solo career whilst having a two year old so it is a lot to juggle but we make it work for the ones we love, don’t we? We’ve never lived together anyway – the whole eight years we’ve been in a relationship; we’ve never actually lived together.”
Perrie Edwards and her fiance Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who became parents to their son Axel in 2021, got engaged the following year amidst a dreamy holiday proposal. Despite the engagement, they’re not hurrying down the aisle, as Perrie has shared their intention to wait until Axel grows up a bit more, reports .

In an intimate conversation on an Australian radio show, Perrie couldn’t help but express her excitement about future wedding plans: “I feel like we’ve already planned it. In our minds we know, and we talk about it a lot Alex more so than me actually which is really cute because he wants it to pop off.
“He wants a party, a performer, he wants it to be a big thing. I’m like, I know who I want as bridesmaids and this and that. It’s all kind of set in stone but we haven’t actually planned it yet. There’s a lot going on in my life right now, I’ve got so much. We’ve said about waiting for Axel to be older and then he can be a pageboy or whatever. It makes more sense.”
