Manchester City goal machine has explained what he eats to uphold his towering figure that proves problematic to defenders across the . His performances on the pitch have shattered records – becoming the fastest player ever to hit 75 goals in the league while nailing three hat-tricks in a mere eight games earlier this season, leaving the previous record holder in his wake.

And while many elite athletes rely on traditional sources of protein and carbs like chicken, pasta, and rice, Haaland’s strategy is unorthodox. In the documentary ‘Haaland: The Big Decision’, the 24-year-old striker gave viewers a glimpse into his daily intake of animal organs such as heart and liver.

He showcased his offal selection by saying: “You don’t eat this, but I take care of my body. I think the most important thing is to eat quality food as locally as possible.”

The Norwegian didn’t stop at just explaining his peculiar diet, also delving into societal views on nutrition. He continued: “There are many things that influence health. For example, people say meat is unhealthy – which meat, McDonald’s meat, or the cow that eats grass right there?”

Beyond the surprise factor of his diet, Haaland also pointed out the natural supplements found in heart and liver, counting vitamins B, iron, phosphorus, and magnesium among them. Haaland also explained that he has an incredibly unique daily routine to go alongside his diet.

Via , he added: “The first thing I do is get a bit of sunlight in my eyes, it’s good for the circadian cycle.” Haaland doesn’t solely limit himself to offal, however, sharing his love for pre-match lasagna while he has also been spotted enjoying a rack of ribs after a game this season.

Elsewhere, a ‘magic’ smoothie consumed during training sessions is another part of his regimen; a concoction of milk, kale, and spinach that contributes to his vegetable intake.

Haaland’s total daily diet, which includes heart, liver, milk, and lasagna, adds up to an astonishing 6,000 calories. This high-calorie intake powers the 14-stone striker to physically dominate and outmaneuver the towering defenders of the Premier League.

And it’s clear to see the impact of his nutrition as of late, boasting 27 goals in 35 matches across all competitions this season thus far, albeit now finding himself briefly sidelined with a knee injury.
