1923, airing on Paramount Network and Paramount Plus, has viewers cheering for Spencer Dutton (portrayed by Brandon Sklenar) as he strives to reunite with his love Alex (Julia Schalepfer) while attempting to return to his family facing tragic circumstances in Montana.
The first season concluded with Spencer and Alex parting ways as Spencer embarked on a boat journey back to Montana, with Alex promising to join him there.
The upcoming season’s trailer reveals new challenges awaiting Spencer as he races against time to reach home. Meanwhile, at the Dutton ranch, Cara Dutton (Helen Mirren) continues to shoulder the primary responsibilities after her husband Jacob (Harrison Ford) suffered severe injuries.
She remains under the constant threat of Banner Creighton (Jerome Flynn) and Donald Whitfield (Timothy Dalton). The ranch is under immediate threat as Donald still harbours ambitions to seize it and transform it into a “playground for the elite”.

Harrison Ford returns as Jacob. The 82 year old American actor is famous for his leading role in the Indiana Jones films.

Spencer Dutton – Brandon Sklenar
Brandon Sklenar steps into the role of Spencer Dutton at age 34, known for his performances in ‘It Ends with Us’ and ‘Vice’. He candidly shared insights about his character’s journey on 1923 with the Daily Express: “He was coping with his PTSD by chasing danger and putting himself in harm’s way.”
He detailed Spencer’s self-destructive tendencies: “[Spencer’s] kind of, almost, trying to kill himself. He’s drinking himself to death, he’s putting himself in these circumstances because it’s the only way he knows how to feel anything.”
Adding a poignant note, “It’s the only way he knows how to feel alive.”

Alex is played by Julia Schlaepfer, an upcoming American talent famous for The Politician and American Horror Stories, having launched her career in 2017 with Madam Secretary.
Banner Creighton – Jerome Flynn
Banner Creighton comes to life through Jerome Flynn, a 61 year old English actor and singer famed for his role as Bronn in Game of Thrones, with other credits including Ripper Street and Soldier Soldier. Alongside his Soldier Soldier co-star Robson Green, the duo enjoyed musical success as Robson & Jerome in the 90s.
Flynn’s personal life saw him in a brief liaison with Game of Thrones co-actor Lena Headey, coming to an end in 2014.
Donald Whitfield – Timothy Dalton
