The Apprentice fans stunned over Lord Sugar’s ‘savage’ decision in ‘quickest firing ever’

The Apprentice viewers were left lost for words as Lord Sugar made a ‘savage’ decision as they labelled the task a ‘car crash’. During today’s (February 20) episode of the hit show, the candidates were tasked with turning crops into cash with one team taking on tomatoes and the other potatoes.

They both had to create a dish that they could sell to the public and deliver a bespoke corporate order and sell to trade. One team opted for pizza, however it was Nadia’s team that sparked concerns from the get-go as she decided to go against her whole team and choose bangers and mash instead of potato skins.

Just minutes into the prep stage, Karren Brady was quick to alarm everyone in the kitchen that ‘something’s burning’ before querying the consistency of their gravy and their cost sheet.

Throughout the task, the team struggled to work well together with many team members claiming that Nadia was making decisions without talking it through with everyone else.

Back at the boardroom Karren revealed that the team made a loss of £73.40 meaning one candidate was going to get the chop and would be sent home.

The salon owner decided to bring back Keir Shave and Dr. Jana Denzel to the boardroom to battle it out for a place in the competition. However, Lord Sugar wasted no time in axing Nadia from the process after insisting that the failure of the task lied solely with her.

In a show first, the business mogul refused the chance to hear Nadia out in the boardroom and instead opted to instantly fire her and confessed it was an easy decision.

He said: “Nadia, we can’t find any other reason for the failure of this task other than your decision that you made for bangers and mash.

“It’s as simple as that. The amount of money paid for sausages, five hundred odd pounds, really killed this task. So Nadia, you’ve left me nowhere to go unfortunately, you’re fired.”

Viewers wasted no time sharing their reaction online as one fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Damn they fired her without even letting her fight for a chance looooooool, how embarrassing #TheApprentice.”

Another said: “Quickest firing I’ve ever seen she royally screwed up.” A third commented: “Tonight’s #TheApprentice is a #CarCrash.”

One wrote: “Fastest firing! No need to waste time.” Meanwhile another added: “That was such a savage decision, but the right one #TheApprentice.”

The Apprentice airs Thursday nights from 9pm on One and iPlayer
