is set to miss at least eight matches for and as he recovers from a muscular injury he suffered last week, according to reports. The 19-year-old midfielder picked up the issue in training ahead of last Sunday’s 1-0 defeat at as part of a brutal wave of unavailability.
This month alone, has lost Lisandro Martinez and Amad until next season, while Manuel Ugarte and Toby Collyer also missed the trip to Spurs through less serious injuries.
While he will hope his damaging list of 12 absentees in north London will lower for Saturday’s final visit to Goodison Park to face Everton, Mainoo’s return is still a while away.
According to the , Mainoo hopes to return to action for the Premier League away game at Nottingham Forest on April 1.
That timeframe would rule him out against Everton, Ipswich Town, and Leicester City in the Premier League and Fulham in the FA Cup fifth round.
And it would also leave Mainoo sidelined for Thomas Tuchel’s first two fixtures as England manager during the March international break.
Tuchel was expected to select Mainoo for the start of the 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign against Albania and Latvia.
However, the teenager’s impending absence could prove to be a blow to his prospects of winning over the German ahead of next year’s tournament in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Mainoo has endured an injury-hit second full season as a senior player, also missing the October and November England camps.
