A influencer has shared her to getting rid of the toughest grime and grease from and you don’t need any
Air fryers have become a popular kitchen over the past number of years, but many people don’t realise how often and thoroughly they need to be cleaned.
If your air fryer is due for a deep clean, user Ida, known as @cleaningwithida, has shown you don’t need to use any harsh chemicals to do the job.
All you’ll need is three ingredients you probably already have in your

Ida shared her instructions in the video’s caption: “1. Add dish soap, baking soda and hot water. 2. Let it sit for 15-30 minutes. 3. Rinse well and scrub if needed. 4. Wipe down the exterior and the interior of your air fryer.”
The reason baking soda works so well to break through grime is down to its natural abrasive texture.
This can help loosen dirt and make it easier to scrub away.
Vanguard Cleaning also noted that due to its alkaline chemical properties, it can help to deodorise and absorb bad smells left lingering by food in the air fryer.
Dr Oetker explained that the reason baking soda is so good at banishing unwanted odours is because: “Most nasty smells in the air contain some sort of acid. As an alkali, baking soda reacts with those acids and neutralises them.”
By adding washing up liquid to the mix, the solution will then get a number of surfactants.
These help to remove and grim by surrounding and lifting grease and dirt particles from the affected area.

Surfactants help to allow tough marks to be rinsed away with water.
Ida’s video has been viewed over a massive 215,500 times, receiving 15,000 likes and 88 comments.
Many CleanTok fans thanked Ida for her cleaning hack, with @samiraeyy saying: “GIRL THANK YOUU I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS.”
Day suggested their own tip: “Just a hack! I use tin foil when using the air fryer so when I’m done after it cools I just remove the foil and it’s clean lol!! Lazy hack for everyone.”
Another agreed, “This actually looks very practical,” while Brizza advised, “A tip would be: wipe off the grease with a paper towel and then wash with a sponge, water, and soap. It makes the job easier.”
