Meghan Markle dropped major hint over brand’s name months before reveal

appeared to hint at the name of her new brand, As Ever, during her previous podcasting days with her 12-episode series, Archewell.

Archetypes, which saw Meghan investigate, dissect, and subvert the labels that try to hold women back,

Meghan, 43, took a break from uploads during the grieving period after the death of the late Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022.

Towards the end of each episode, after speaking to her chosen female guest, Meghan can be heard saying, “…as ever, I’m Meghan…”

In her new video, which she posted on Tuesday, Meghan revealed she had “secured” the brand name in 2022 – the same year that she launched her podcast.

Revealing ‘As Ever’, Meghan starts the video by sharing, “Cats out of the bag, I’m shocked we’ve kept it a secret for so long…”

The brand also replaces the previously-known American Riviera Orchard – with Meghan sharing that she believed name would put limits on what she can share with the brand.

Meghan said: “Last year, I thought you know what, American Riviera, that sounds like such a great name, it’s my neighbourhood [and] its a name for Santa Barbara. But it limited me to things that were just manufactured and grown in this area.”

Speaking more about the choice of brand name, Meghan added: “This is the moment [for the announcement]. It’s called ‘As Ever’. ‘As Ever’ essentially means ‘as it’s always been’.”

Archetypes did exceed more than one series, with on why Meghan likely didn’t make any more episodes. Ian Silvera, Editor of , previously told Express that Spotify may have thought their content was being “diluted” by the couple’s other deals, such as .

As well as her brand’s name, Meghan has also now revealed that As Ever is .
