Kourtney Kardashian Hits Back At Critics Of Her ‘Wasteful’ Valentine’s Day Flowers

Kourtney Kardashian has, once again, issued a pointed response to critics of her love of massive floral displays.

On Monday, the reality television personality and Poosh founder shared a carousel of photos on Instagram that documented her Valentine’s Day celebrations.

One of the images showed more than a half-dozen bouquets of long-stemmed red roses surrounding a heart-shaped floral centerpiece. The tile floor beneath the arrangements was also covered in rose petals.

Though most of the comments on the post were complimentary, a few criticized Kardashian over her “wasteful” arrangements.

“What a waste of flowers. You and your sisters all do this and it’s not cute or funny,” one person wrote. “You don’t need all those flowers.”

Added another: “It would be cool if there was a community garden somewhere that would use the arrangements in their compost.”

Kourtney Kardashian said she'd donated the massive floral arrangements used in her Valentine's Day celebrations to a hospital and an assisted living facility.

Kardashian responded to one of the critics, noting that the flowers were later donated “to a local hospital,” per BuzzFeed.

In a second reply, she clarified, “actually half went to an ER and half to an assisted living facility.”

Kardashian, who is married to Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, has been called out on social media in the past for appearing to take her love of flowers to the extreme. While celebrating her birthday in 2023, she and Barker enjoyed a weekend getaway in Santa Barbara, California, where their suite was decked out with enormous bouquets of tulips.

When one commenter asked what Kardashian was planning to do with the flowers after the celebration, she replied: “We donate them to the children’s hospital.”

The floral brouhaha comes just days after Barker and Kardashian’s 15-month-old son, Rocky, appeared on “The Kardashians” for the first time since his birth. Though the toddler’s face was blurred at his parents’ request, he was seated with the family as they enjoyed dinner at Los Angeles’ Petersen Automotive Museum.
