In the aftermath of the chaos, the airport confirmed an “incident” involving a Delta flight from Minneapolis, with assurances that all passengers were safe. Dramatic scenes unfolded as the aircraft was seen upturned on the snow-laden tarmac, surrounded by emergency services.
The airport took to social platform X, announcing, “Emergency teams are responding,” and emphasised, “All passengers and crew are accounted for.”
Delta issued a statement confirming their knowledge of reports regarding Endeavor Flight 4819 from Minneapolis/St. Paul to Toronto-Pearson International Airport being involved in an incident. Ontario Premier Doug Ford shared his relief on X, saying: “relieved there are no casualties after the incident at Toronto Pearson.”
He also mentioned that “Provincial officials are in contact with the airport and local authorities and will provide any help that’s needed.”
