The host of the classic car restoration series as he showed one off at his One Automotive base in Leamington Spa. 

The 2019 five-door X-Trail has previously been praised for its reliability and practicality, with Mike keen to show off the model to fans.

Mike admitted staff working around the garage had been “fawning over” the machine since it had rolled in.

, Mike said: “LED lights across the front, huge great huge wheels on it as well. Just look at it from the exterior, it’s got the privacy glass, it’s got the roof rails, it’s got the chrome door handles, the chrome accents, it looks really smart.

“It’s got electric folding mirrors so as you open the car, get in and turn the ignition on the mirrors fold out, which is lovely. 

“Leather door cards inside your family car, nice and easy to wipe, absolutely wonderful leather seats. It’s got lumber support as well, you’ve got cupholders everywhere. These Nissan X-Trails are really well equipped.”

Mike said some models have both heated front and rear seats while satellite navigation and a multi-function steering wheel are also fitted. 

He stressed the three rear seats can fold flat with “plenty of space” for families to move around in. 

The Wheeler Dealers host added: “There’s just so much isn’t there, so much kit and equipment.

“Steve, our technician who actually prepared this car ready for sale, pointed out, ‘how can you get all of this luxury equipment that costs less than half an Audi Q7 of the same year with the same mileage?’

“And he’s quite right. This vehicle is on sale now at a stupendously ridiculous price.”

Second-hand X-Trails can be picked up online with prices varying between £7,700 and £21,400 depending on the vehicle’s age and condition.

The AA added “Its rugged ability and minimal size initially won it many fans, and while it remains a competent workhorse with a relatively refined ride, it lacks some of the style and sophistication that modern crossover SUVs have brought to the market.”
