has candidly expressed her feelings about leaving the role of Vera Stanhope, revealing she “misses it” after the final scenes aired in January.
The beloved actress hinted at a possible return, suggesting to Daily Star’s HotTV, “A special would be nice. It’s definitely one of my favourite roles I’ve done. I love the character.”
She shared her nostalgia for the filming routine, saying, “When we get to March, I’d normally be packing my bag to go up north to film, but I will be sad. I will miss it. I had a great time doing it.”
The star previously discussed her reasons for exiting the ITV series, citing a longing for family time: “It was a lovely summer back in 2023, and I came to realise I hadn’t had a summer with my husband for 14 years,” she revealed.
Despite her affection for the Vera family, her own family and her dog Jack took precedence.
