UK weather maps have revealed when a 719-mile storm will hit Britain.

February 26 may be a bit soggy for households the length of the country. Heavy rain will fall from Lerwick in the Shetland Islands all the way down to Land’s End in Cornwall.

However, not everyone will be hammered by torrential downpours, according to WX Charts, which uses MetDesk data.

In Scotland, it will be hard to escape the wet weather, with the online forecaster showing virtually the whole country swamped under heavy clouds.

In England, the wet weather will hit most households from the south-east, to the north-east, north-west and the Midlands. The West Country will remain dry. Northern Ireland won’t escape the precipitation.

Most of Wales is set for a battering according to the online forecaster, with a deluge predicted. It is essential to note that these forecasts are subject to change and you should consult another forecast closer to the time.

Despite the wet weather, temperatures should remain quite mild for the time of year – or at least not freezing cold.

England will see top temperatures around 5C, 6C, or 7C. While Scotland will be a little lower, around 3C-4C.

Wales will follow England, with top temperatures around 7C. However, Northern Ireland will see the warmest weather – around 8C-9C in parts.
