The Apprentice bosses left speechless after star’s ‘record-breaking’ moment

The Apprentice’s Tre Lowe has disclosed a show-stopping moment that left show bosses utterly astonished, claiming “we’ve never heard that before” in a series first.

The wellness guru and former garage music sensation, who gained fame as part of Architechs, competed on the hit last year, reaching the intense interview stage, but was let go just shy of the finale with Flo Edwards and Paul Midha.

Last week, Tre returned to The Apprentice as a mentor, guiding the new batch of hopefuls in their quest to produce a chart-topping track at the famed Tileyard Studios.

In a candid chat with The Mirror, sponsored by 10bet, Tre shared his “proudest” boardroom memory from his stint on the show, which had the producers lost for words.

Tre recounted: “I think for me, especially watching it back, it was the Formula E [task]. It was the first time I was PM, and it’s not an easy thing to do, you know. If you notice, most people hold the mic, and they pitch, and they all stand in a line. I’m Mr give me the mic, like I’m singing Body Groove, and I’m coming forward,” reports .

“But when you’re doing that, the only thing that’s fuelling you is pure passion. And I think when I watched myself delivering that pitch for Formula E, having been given a terrible advert and terrible branding, I meant every word that was coming out of my mouth.

“People think, ‘Tre, how do you come up with this stuff?’ And it’s just passion, like, I mean it. I’m talking about the environment, I mean every word of it, and I’m looking at everyone in their eyeballs, and also very well aware that had I not done that, we wouldn’t be winning, let alone creating a record-breaking win… Watching that back, I was incredibly proud of myself.”

Last year, Tre and his team broke records on The Apprentice by securing a gargantuan £38.7 million in sponsorship for their Formula E team, marking the highest amount ever raised during a task on the show.

Tre didn’t just impress with the numbers, as the production team themselves hailed the unprecedented audience reaction to his performance.

He recalled, “I remember when I delivered that pitch, I got a really big, rapturous round of applause, and even the production was coming and saying, ‘We’ve never heard that before on that show,'” adding that watching the moment back filled him with immense pride and was indeed the pinnacle of his time on the programme.

In a touching turn, Tre shared a more personal element of his journey. He opened up about the death of his brother, the 49-year-old musician Ashley, who succumbed to complications in February 2020, preluding the commencement of the UK’s initial lockdown phase.

The heartfelt reason behind Tre’s decision to join the series resonated deeply. “One of the reasons why I went on that show was to honour my brother, Ashley, who passed away from in 2020,” he disclosed, highlighting the poignant motivation beneath his competitive drive.

“Every step of the way, I always pictured him watching me, and the thought that I could make him that proud, that he would watch me and be like, ‘Wow, well done,’ I think that meant everything.”
