insists he would consider coming out of retirement for a £10million payday in Saudi Arabia. The Power officially ended his glittering darts career in 2024 four years after leaving the PDC.
Taylor won 16 at the peak of his powers. The 64-year-old has happily watched on as and have assumed responsibility as the best players in the world.
But he could make a comeback if the sport heads to Saudi Arabia and increases the prize money. Littler banked £500,000 for winning the world title at Alexandra Palace last month.
“Would I come back? I would ask to be sent some darts and a dartboard definitely. I think also, if it does go to Saudi Arabia, I wouldn’t put it past Barry – £10million for the winner,” Taylor told .
“I think Saudi Arabia is that big of a sports country now, I think they could make it £10m. That’s how big I think Barry will make it. I’ll be doing something, trust me.”
If Taylor returned, he would need to buy a new set of darts and a dartboard. The darts icon revealed that he no longer owns any memorabilia from his career, having dished it all out to friends and family.
“I don’t even have a set of darts anymore or a dartboard. The grandkids have got my dartboard and my mates have got my darts,” he said.
“I’ve not got one trophy. My daughter has them all, and my family and friends have them. You can’t eat trophies. So I’m not too bothered. You have to clean them, so I’ve given them to somebody else.”

It comes after Matchroom founder Hearn hinted that prize money could be set to soar, in part thanks to a new £125million deal with Sky Sports to show darts’ biggest events.
“We’re on fire, there’s no other way to describe it,” the sports promotion supremo told the same radio station. “We’ve announced a new five-year deal with Sky which I’m very pleased with and we’re going away now for four or five weeks with a pile of money in the bank and thinking about what to do with it.
“In March we’ll be making an announcement that will put a lot of smiles on a lot of darts players’ faces. We’re investing a lot all over the world, South-east Asia, in China, in the Chinese Premier League.
“You’re boosting your income all the time. And as I say, we’re going to make a massive increase in prize money coming up, which we’ll announce soon. And I think that’s just the first stage of us overtaking a lot of other sports.”
