Luke Littler ‘reeled in the big fish’ for the crowd after nailing a 170 checkout in his Premier League Darts final with Luke Humphries in Glasgow. With the two rivals at 1-1 in the early stages, it was Humphries who missed the chance to seize the initiative as he pushed the wire on double six.
But Littler was still left needing to take out the maximum finish to steal the leg.
And that’s exactly what the teenage sensation did, hitting two treble 20’s before finding the bullseye.
And he celebrated the moment in style, exuberantly performing the ‘reeling’ actions to the crowd while his opponent nodded in approval. Littler wasn’t made to regret his actions either, eventually winning a thrilling contest 6-5.
The 17-year-old held his nerve after going 5-4 down, breaking the world No.1 for the first time to level the match. And then he moved through the gears in the decider, before hitting double 20 for his first Premier League tournament win of the 2025 campaign.
