Kim Kardashian denies telling Netflix to cut boos from Tom Brady roast: ‘I’m the best sport’

Kim Kardashian is setting the record straight.

After getting booed at Tom Brady’s roast, rumors swirled that Kardashian asked Netflix, which broadcast the live event, to remove the jeers from the version that now lives on the platform.

However, on Season 6, Episode 2, of “The Kardashians,” Kardashian said that she wasn’t involved in Netflix’s decision to edit out the boos.

“No, I could care less. Let me live my life. It happened. I don’t erase what happened. Listen, I’m the best sport, like — I can handle it,” she said.

That said, Kardashian said she will never do something like the roast again.

“My thoughts on the roast is I would never do a roast again. It’s not good for the soul,” she said. “I could have never imagined that I would be booed, but you can’t f–king win. So it’s like, oh football fans, oh sports fans, oh they hate the Kardashians!”

The Skims founder said she had a plane to catch the night of the roast, but she stayed for the entire event after being booed to prove a point.

“I thought I was going to get up and give a toast and leave. That was the whole plan,” she said. “And then I was like, Well, I can’t leave because then I’m going to look like a poor sport that couldn’t handle anything.”

During the roast, comedian Tony Hinchcliffe took aim at Kardashian.

“She’s had a lot of Black men celebrating her end-zone,” he said. “Kim, word of advice, close your legs. You have more public beef than Kendrick (Lamar) and Drake.

On “The Kardashians,” the reality TV star said she wasn’t impressed by many of the jokes about women.

“It just wasn’t new. All they do is call the girls whores. It was just the same thing. But I thought Nicky Glaser killed it. I really did. And there were also so many funny moments. I’m not going to sit here and literally be the victim. It wasn’t about me. It was fun to be a part of it, and I did it. I never have to do it again,” she said.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Robbie Praw, vice president of stand-up and comedy formats at Netflix, explained why the company decided to edit out the boos that Kardashian received at the roast.

“Post edits are standard practice for comedy specials and happen in live broadcasts, whether that’s subtitles, adding things or removing things that we can’t do when it’s streaming live,” he said. “It’s part of, quite frankly, the fun of watching it live to not miss those things. But I will just say this, in addition to that, that no talent were consulted as part of that.”

When asked if Kardashian asked for the boos to be removed, he replied, “No.”
