Good Morning Britain’s Kate Garraway apologises to co-star after awkward interruption

Good Morning Britain took an awkward turn when Kate Garraway had to apologise to her colleague following an unexpected interruption. During the Thursday (February 13) broadcast of the popular ITV morning programme, Kate and Ed Balls were at the helm, delivering the day’s headline stories.

Former celebrity Angela Rippon joined them to discuss her Let’s Dance project. Kate couldn’t resist mentioning Angela’s legendary high-kick dance routine from Morecambe and Wise, which left viewers in awe. Addressing Angela, Kate remarked: “That launched your dance career but your career was already on the way with journalism.”

Ed chimed in with his own memory: “I saw that at home on that Christmas and it was so amazing. What was it like? It was unusual for a news reader to do something like that.”

Kate was quick to shift gears in the conversation, but before she could segue, Ed interjected with a “Before you move on.”
