“Cobra Kai” stars Tanner Buchanan and Mary Mouser debuted their relationship on the red carpet for the Season Six, Part Three, premiere of the Netflix show Feb. 12.
Their hard-launch doubled as an engagement announcement when they flashed their left hands, showing off their matching rings.
Netflix confirmed their engagement on X Feb. 13, the same day the final episodes of “The Karate Kid” spinoff dropped on the streaming platform.
“COBRA CRYING BECAUSE TANNER BUCHANAN & MARY MOUSER ARE ENGAGED,” the official X account for Netflix tweeted.
Buchanan and Mouser have been spotted out and about together over the years, including at a Taylor Swift concert in 2023. They hadn’t publicly commented on relationship rumors until Thursday’s premiere.
In “Cobra Kai,” Mouser plays Sam, a young karate star and the daughter of Ralph Macchio’s Daniel LaRusso. Buchanan, who’s also known for starring in “He’s All That” and “Designated Survivor,” plays Robby, the son of Daniel’s longtime rival, Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka).
Their characters had a romantic relationship in the show’s early seasons, but Sam moved on with her first love Miguel (Xolo Maridueña) and Robby with Tory (Peyton List).
