Canadian brand Vivier aims to stand out in ‘crowded’ skin-care space

From first formulation to final packaging, there’s a lot of work that goes into launching a skin-care product.

We caught up with Vivier to learn more:

Q: For those who aren’t familiar, what is Vivier? 

A: Vivier is a Canadian pharmaceutical skin-care brand with a rich heritage in the medical esthetic space. We offer a complete range of scientifically backed formulas designed to prepare, target, moisturize and protect the skin, ensuring visible and effective outcomes.

We are also a family business. My father, Jess Vivier, left a successful career in pharmaceuticals in 1997 to dedicate his time to skin-care research and product development after seeing my mother Cindy’s ongoing disappointment with leading products on the market.

Three years later, Vivier sold its first Vitamin C serum — a highly stable formulation with clinically proven penetration of active ingredients into the dermis.

I believe that my father’s background in pharmaceuticals lent itself to building a brand whose mission is to provide highly efficacious, pharmaceutical-grade products.

Overall, though, I think the initial motivation behind why Vivier was founded has been a through-line over the past 25-plus years. We want to deliver real results and empower people to feel confident in their own skin.

Q: What makes it unique?

A: Let’s be honest, skin care is a crowded space in 2025. It can be hard to keep up with the constant influx of new brands and products. Every so often, however, a truly disruptive brand and or product redefines the skin-care industry and that has been the case with Vivier.

Q: Who is the target customer?

Q: What’s new for 2025? 

A: 2025 is an exciting year for Vivier. In February we introduce Crème 47 Luxe Concentrate, which will retail for $395. This is a revolutionary product, both for us and the wider skin-care market that offers a new level of comprehensive defence and renewal for aging skin. It does so by addressing seven essential skin functions, all backed by clinical results; intense hydration, skin barrier support, antioxidant defence, boosted collagen and elastin, hyperpigmentation reduction, improved texture, and inflammation reduction. It is truly a one-of-a-kind product, just in how comprehensive the results our customers will see from using it are, and we hope to set a new standard in the skin-care industry with its launch.
