A gorgeous  has been voted as one of the best in the world thanks to its jawdropping views and powdery white sand.

Siesta Key Beach, located in Sarasota ranks as the second-best beach in the US and ninth best in the world according to TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards.

But this beautiful stretch of land hides a secret – its sand is said to have spiritual healing qualities and a link to the mythical city of Atantis.

Siesta Key Beach’s sand is composed of 99 percent pure quartz crystal – unlike most beaches, which are formed by crushed coral or limestone.

Among spiritual healers, quartz is widely regarded for its ability to conduct energy, reduce stress, and promote physical and mental well-being.

When it comes to how the beach came to be made of crystals, some legends claim the quartz came from the ancient mythical city of Atlantis.

However, most people agree the crystal is more likely to have made its way down from the Southern Appalachian Mountains. Wherever the crystal came from, the beach’s unique composition ensures the sand keeps cool underfoot no matter how hot the weather.

Athough the evidence is primarily anecdotal, countless visitors to Sarasota’s famous beach have reported healing benefits such as feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and more at peace after spending time on its shores. Walking barefoot on the quartz-rich sand is also said to create a grounding effect, helping to clear the mind and relieve anxiety.
