Newcastle will face Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final next month
have been handed a welcome injury boost after Eddie Howe was left sweating over the fitness of three key players.
The Magpies stunned Premier League rivals last week to book their spot in the Carabao Cup final for the second time in three seasons.
Howe’s men backed that up in the FA Cup last weekend with a gutsy 3-2 victory over League One Birmingham City at St Andrew’s.
It’s a result that kept alive hopes of a League and FA Cup double, with also in the mix for Champions League qualification in the Premier League.
But fans of the North East-based outfit were sent into a state of panic when it emerged Anthony Gordon, Sven Botman and Dan Burn were all carrying knocks.
Gordon and Botman both missed the victory over Birmingham in the FA Cup, while Burn was taken off in the second half after he appeared to trouble his groin.
However, as reported by , the three are not at risk of missing ‘s Carabao Cup final against scheduled for Sunday, 16 March.
What’s more, Gordon is believed to have recovered from the niggle that kept him out of the Birmingham win and should be available for ‘s crunch clash against on Saturday.

As for Botman and Burn, the pair are said to have undergone scans this week, but they aren’t believed to be under serious threat of missing an extended period of time.
It’s unlikely the duo make the cut for this weekend’s trip to Manchester though, meaning Emil Krafth is in line to start at the centre of defence alongside Fabian Schar.
There is no such positive injury news as far as Harvey Barnes is concerned, as, according to the report, the winger is still some way off a return.
Barnes hasn’t featured for since early January when he played 46 minutes during their FA Cup third round victory over Bromley.
