Jimmy Fallon’s Super Bowl Joke Goes To A Really Unexpected Place

Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday continued to praise the Philadelphia Eagles for dismantling the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl. But “The Tonight Show” host went far afield in one compliment. (Watch the video below.)

“Yep, the Eagles absolutely dominated on Sunday,” he said. “The last time somebody from Philadelphia smacked someone that hard, they got banned from the Oscars.”

Will Smith is nearly three years removed from his infamous slap of Chris Rock but the “King Richard” Oscar winner is still feeling the impact.

Smith was hit with a 10-year ban. Maybe by the time it’s over the Eagles will have won another Super Bowl title or two.

Fallon also took aim at the Eagles’ rabid faithful who will attend the team’s parade on Friday.

“It’s great for fans because there’s no work the next day but bad because they can’t see a judge till Monday,” he cracked.

Several fans were arrested for assault and vandalism in Philadelphia after the Eagles won the game.

Fallon’s Super Bowl shtick kicks off the monologue:
