One person was been killed and dozens more injured when a high-speed train and a truck collided in Germany on Tuesday.
Six of the 25 people were left in serious condition after the horror crash, which occurred on a level crossing outside Hamburg.
A fire department spokesperson said a 55-year-old man was resuscitated at the scene but later died from his injuries.
The crash involved an ICE train, which had 291 people on board at the time, and a vehicle loaded with rails that were left strewn on the ground, photos from the scene showed.
Police said uninjured passengers were evacuated and transported by bus to a nearby station.

It’s not yet clear what led to the collision.
The line between Hamburg-Harburg and Maschen in Lower Saxony was temporarily closed.
Other trains were temporarily diverted.

The damaged train has since been towed away and one track of the railway line is now open again.
