Despite initial hesitation, Travis eats Javi’s heart, demonstrating his loyalty to the group and his faith in the wilderness.

Natalie becomes the Antler Queen

Lottie made the unexpected decision to relinquish her role, convinced that the wilderness had chosen another favourite.

She observed how the wilderness intervened to save Natalie’s life after she drew the Queen of Hearts, and as the lead hunter, Lottie saw this as a clear sign that Natalie was destined for leadership.

Thus, Lottie handed over the title of Antler Queen to Natalie, much to the dismay of Shauna.

Shauna is nearly killed

Fast-forward to the adult timeline, and Shauna found herself at the receiving end of the Queen of Hearts.

Lottie, bound by duty, prepared to end Shauna’s life, while the rest of the group hesitated.

Van managed to sway Taissa from intervening, calling off their plan to disrupt the ritual.

In a frantic sequence of events, Van and Lottie gave chase to Shauna, their intentions unclear, but fortunately, Misty, Natalie, and Taissa intervened, whisking Shauna to safety before any harm came to her.

Walter’s plan

Walter embarked on a daring plan to safeguard his girlfriend Misty and their friends. His goal was to deflect suspicion from Adam Martin’s murder.

Walter used Saracusa’s gun to shoot Kevyn Tan, then proceeded to blackmail him. The scheme involved framing Kevyn for the murders of both Adam and Jessica Roberts.

Walter concocted a narrative about police corruption, which Saracusa had supposedly “uncovered”.

In a tense standoff, Sarcusa reluctantly agreed to Walter’s terms but not without issuing a stern warning.

He reminded Saracusa that he held enough incriminating information to link any untoward incidents back to him, ensuring his compliance.

Natalie dies

Misty was poised to kill Lisa with a lethal syringe, intending her as the next sacrifice to the wilderness.

However, in a twist of fate, Natalie intervened and was fatally stabbed instead.

She had lived most of her life burdened by guilt over Javi’s death, regretting her failure to save him years ago.

Struggling with everyday life after their wilderness ordeal, Natalie had previously attempted suicide.

Despite this being her choice, it was evident that Misty was devastated to be the one administering the fatal injection.

Lottie is sent away

Following an attempt to sacrifice Shauna, the group decided it was best to send Lottie to Whitmore, a mental health facility.

Her unwavering belief in the wilderness entity had become too potent and posed a threat to everyone.

Cabin burns down

In a flashback to 1996, panic ensued as the girls fled their cabin, realising it was ablaze and they watched helplessly as their refuge was reduced to ashes.

In the distance, coach Ben Scott was seen observing the fiery destruction, suggesting he may have been responsible for the blaze. The question remains: did he really try to kill them?

Yellowjackets season three premieres on Friday, February 14, on Paramount+.
