Nigel Farage warned taxpayers’ cash is being “wasted on a simply enormous scale” and called for -style spending cuts.
The Reform UK leader, in an explosive video clip, revealed how the UK Government spent £200,000 on “studying the impact of Star Wars on the environment”.
And he highlighted how officials splurged £1.2m analysing “classical music’s colonial history”.
Tech tycoon , the world’s richest man, has said he wants to cut at least two trillion US dollars, one third of the US federal government’s annual budget.

And calls are intensifying for a similar department to be established in the UK to prevent more cash being wasted.
Mr Farage declared: “Do you ever wonder where your taxes go, whether your money is being spent properly?
“The government spent £200,000 on studying the impact of Star Wars on the environment. Our taxpayer money is being wasted on a simply enormous scale.
“When you see what they are doing in America, do you get the feeling we should be doing it here?
“This is all a complete waste of your taxpayer money. This is keeping people in jobs who don’t deserve to have them.”
Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch confirmed she is “looking very closely” at DOGE’s bid to slash spending within the US Government. Asked on the Daily T podcast if Britain needs a similar initiative, Badenoch responded: “I think so.”
She added: “If you remember in my campaign launch speech, I said that we need to reboot [and] rewire the state. This is what we have to do.
“And I’m looking very closely at what they are doing in DOGE.”
In the US, more than half of the cuts already identified are linked to federal spending on diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, while the group has also put $30 million in spending on digital modernisation and $4 million on federal leases on the chopping block.
President Trump said of ’s cost-cutting programme: “We have very smart people going in, so I’ve instructed him go into education, go into military, go into other things as we go along, and they’re finding massive amounts of fraud, abuse, waste, all of these things.”
