The young character, portrayed by Amelia Flanagan, vanished from the iconic village on Christmas Day after a clash with her father Marlon, played by Mark Charnock. Her last sighting was as she entered an enigmatic car with an unknown driver.
In a recent special episode, the soap delved into April’s harrowing experiences since her escape from the Dales, which included sleeping on the streets and being a witness to a savage stabbing and homicide.
Adding to the drama, it was unveiled that April was expecting when she fled, leaving her in turmoil over the potential family upheaval her pregnancy might cause.
The plot took a tragic turn when April delivered a stillborn child in a public restroom, only to be later discovered unconscious on a park bench.

April has also opened up to Ross Barton, played by Mike Parr, about the baby, expressing she never wanted it. Despite her return, April is visibly struggling with her past trauma, while Marlon strives to help her readjust to village life.
Yet, viewers are left fearing the worst, as they predict April might face legal consequences for her actions, potentially leading to a heart-wrenching stint behind bars.
