GB News immigration row explodes as guest rages ‘you’re deluded’

MP branded MP Barry Gardiner “deluded” as a discussion on immigration became heated when they both appeared on ‘s show.

The pair were appearing to debate the extent of control needed when they clashed as scenes of groups getting on to planes to be deported were boradcast.

“But let me ask you this, these scenes that we’re seeing, they’re not typical for the Labour Party,” Dewberry said to Gardiner. “This is quite a change in terms of approach showing this kind of footage.

“Is it because you’re terrified of Reform that you’re trying to combat the rise of Reform by doing things like this? Some people are calling it stunts.”

“I don’t think so. I think what we’re doing is we’re carrying out the law, and that’s what any government should do,” Gardiner responded.

“But I’ll say this, I think the way in which it’s being publicized, and I personally have an issue with it, because I don’t want to be chasing reform or the conservative party down an increasingly right wing agenda.

“I want to make the case for proper, legal, safe Routes and managed migration into this country that benefits our economy.

“Because every wave of migrant that’s come here from the 1890s whether it was the Jewish migrants…, whether it was the Afro Caribbean migrants that came in the 50s, whether it was the East African Asians who came in the 70s, they have all brought skills and and economic growth to this country.

“They’ve they are the people who have built the NHS in this country, the public transport system…”
