Emmerdale Belle’s new love interest ‘sealed’ after Tom – and it’s unexpected villager

viewers believe the show has dropped hints about Belle Dingle’s upcoming romantic storyline following her tumultuous relationship with Tom King.

The beloved character, played by Eden Taylor-Draper, has had a harrowing year, enduring domestic abuse from her manipulative husband Tom King (James Chase).

The couple wed last year, but Tom’s abusive nature soon surfaced, subjecting Belle to months of gaslighting and torment. Thankfully, Belle’s nightmare concluded late last year when Tom was convicted of assault and controlling and coercive behaviour, receiving a three-year prison sentence.

Since then, Belle has been striving to move past this dark period in her life. Recently, she announced her return to work at Take A Vow, a job she had previously abandoned due to Tom’s oppressive control.

In yesterday’s episode, Belle voiced her intention to divorce Tom as they approach their first wedding anniversary.

However, the one-year mark of her marriage to Tom left Belle emotional. Despite her firm decision to seek a divorce, Belle shared her fears with colleague Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi), anticipating that Tom would make the process difficult, reports LeedsLive.

Yet, it was another remark from Belle that sparked speculation among fans about her next love interest. After lunch with Leyla and Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough), Belle joked to Lydia (Karen Blick) that life would be simpler if she were a lesbian.

watchers are abuzz with speculation that new rifts might be forming between Suzy and Vanessa Woodfield (played by Michelle Hardwick), fearing that Belle might intrude on their romance.
