There’s nothing quite like some winter sun. For , it was almost the catalyst to a first title in 20 years last year, when their mid-season getaway helped spark an imperious second half of the campaign run.

Across their 17 Premier League matches post-Dubai last season, won 15, drawing another and losing just one – an agonising defeat at home to Aston Villa that all but killed their title hopes.

and co. will be hoping history – at least the winning run part – repeats itself this time around, as they’ve once again jetted off to Dubai for some warm-weather training.

And ahead of their return this week, Express Sport have detailed what their perfect comeback from warm weather training might look like.

It’s hard to imagine maintaining a title challenge beyond the spring unless returns from his hamstring injury sharpish.

Despite having been sidelined since mid-December, Saka, with 19, remains the player with the most big chances created in the Premier League this season.

Saka joined the rest of his team-mates in Dubai as he continues his recovery from surgery, with the Gunners reportedly targeting the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie in early March as the most likely return date.

Striker problem solved

In an ideal world, fans would be getting ready to watch their shiny new striker signing for the first time this weekend.

Instead, the north Londoners opted out of signing a new marksman in the winter window, with Arteta having to make do and mend with what he’s got.

Until Saka is back fit and firing properly, the likes of Leonardo Trossard, and Martin Odegaard will have to step up and shoulder more responsibility.

Goals in the big games have been a problem for – they can’t afford to limp out of this title race because of a sheepish attack.
