Bridgerton star Simone Ashley is worlds away from her character in the hit in her new romantic comedy movie.
Known for her role as Kathani “Kate” Sharma/Bridgerton, Ashley stars in new Prime Video film Picture This.
Ashley leads the cast as Pia, a struggling photographer who is told that true love and career success are just five dates away.
As she navigates her sister’s wedding and her family’s matchmaking attempts, her ex-boyfriend, played by Hero Fiennes Tiffin, re-enters the picture, causing upheaval in both her personal and professional life.
The trailer, which was released on Tuesday afternoon (February 11), showcases Pia’s journey to carve out her own path amidst her well-meaning but intrusive family.
Viewers get a glimpse of Pia’s awkward dating experiences while she rekindles her relationship with her ex. Picture This, which also stars comedian Sindhu Vee, Luke Fetherston from The Wheel of Time, Indian Summers actor Nikesh Patel, and Citizen Khan’s Adil Ray, among others, will be available globally on Prime Video from Thursday, March 6.

The upcoming London-set film boasts production by Ben Pugh and Erica Steinberg for 42, with Prarthana Mohan at the helm as director. Nikita Lalwani penned the script, which draws inspiration from the 2024 Australian hit Five Blind Dates.

Beyond Picture This, Simone Ashley has also appeared in Detective Pikachu, The Little Mermaid, Sex Education, The Sister, Casualty, and Broadchurch.
Picture This will be released globally on Prime Video on Thursday, March 6.
