A woman has described the harrowing moment she found out her partner had been drugged, raped and .
Bobbie Cowan, 26, from Fife, Scotland, was “sickened” when police told her the devastating news Calum Simpson had been brutally killed.
Calum’s drink had been spiked by twisted Dylan Brister, 27, and Cameron Allan, 21, during a night out. He was rendered unconscious and subjected to a serious sexual assault, which the pair filmed on a phone.
The young dad died from the effects of the Class C drug, Etizolam, and alcohol. according to the .
Ms Cowan was left to raise their three children, Calum, Mirren and Lyla, as well as a fourth child, Romi, who has a different father but whom Mr Simpson considered one of his own.

Bobbie said the night Calum went out the couple had had a few words and he left on a bad note. She added: “It was nothing serious but I’ll always regret that because they were the last words we ever spoke to each other.”
The mum said when Calum didn’t return home she felt annoyed he’d left her to look after the children on her own, never having imagined what was coming next.
She said: “My world fell apart when the police came to tell me he was dead. When I found out he’d been attacked and raped, I was sickened. He must have suffered so much.
“The children and I miss him terribly. They each have a teddy bear which has Calum’s voice inside, saying: ‘I love you and I will see you soon’. It breaks my heart.”
At the High Court in , Brister and Allan were found guilty of murdering Calum. Brister was sentenced to serve at least 23 years and Allan a minimum of 19 years for the brutal attack in November 2021.
The pair were also added to the sex offenders’ register for an indefinite period.

Judge Lord Harrower said the killers caused “terrible devastation” to the young family, adding there were so many milestones in the children’s lives their father would no longer be able to share.
The judge added: “No sentence of this court can alleviate the family’s grief and anguish.”
Moira Orr from the Crown Office & Procurator Fiscal Service said after the sentencing: “The depraved and predatory actions of Dylan Brister and Cameron Allan have robbed a family of their loving son, father, partner, nephew and grandson.
She added: “They showed a blatant disregard for their victim’s safety and life by spiking his drink with drugs before subjecting him to the most harrowing sexual abuse.”
Bobbie told the : “I hope they rot in jail. No sentence can ever bring my children’s daddy back. I want Calum to be remembered for the kind, loving person he was. He was an amazing father.”
