Super Bowl fans taken aback as they realise sign language interpreter is Hollywood star

viewers were taken aback as they recognised the sign language interpreter as a big star.

The NFL game saw the Kansas City Chiefs face off against the Philadelphia Eagles at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans in the early hours of Monday morning (February 10) in the UK.

Country star Lauren Daigle and Trombone Shorty took to the field to perform their rendition of America the Beautiful, before Jon Batiste performed the National Anthem.

Signing along for Deaf viewers was Stephanie Nogueras, who fans instantly recognised as getting her big break in teen drama Switched at Birth, in which she starred alongside and High School Musical star Lucas Grabeel.

Stephanie, who was born profoundly deaf, has also appeared in the hit horror movie Unfriended: Dark Web, along with a stint in Criminal Minds in 2018. Her first acting job was as Ellie Mahario in an episode of Grimm, while her performance in Fox crime anthology Accused was branded “stunning” by critics.
